    Monthly Goals: June

Before I even start this post I need to warn you guys, I 100% completely neglected my goals last month. Moving in with my family and only having a tiny room instead of an apartment to ourselves really proved to throw off every little bit of my motivation.

Even though we still have one more month before we get to move upstairs to our own apartment again I have a better feeling about this month. (At least a little bit!) My motivation is back a little bit and I’m excited to make some new goals.

    May Goals Recap

    • Celebrate Branden + Sarah’s wedding!
    • Meal plan well this month
    • Continue drinking plenty of water
    • Be active with Tommy
    • Spend more time in God’s Word
    • Read every night before bed
    • Celebrate our ONE year anniversary!

I told you guys it was bad!! I really didn’t even want to post a recap this month but I did for the sake of being real and knowing that other people have bad days as well.

Attending my cousin’s wedding was super fun despite how cold it ended up being that day. We also stayed overnight at a hotel in Maryland, which is always fun if you ask me.

We celebrated ONE whole year of marriage last month! I wrote a post about my reflections on the past year. You can check that out here if you missed it. 🙂

    June Goals

    • Get back into consistently reading my bible + praying
    • Go on plenty of hikes
    • Take a few beach trips
    • Go on a weekend getaway with Tommy and my family up to Lake George
    • Get caught up on bills
    • Plan one year photoshoot
    • Write 1-2 blog posts a week
    • Finish crocheting blanket

Let’s see if I can do a little better this month than last month! What are your goals this month?

    Monthly Goals: May

Hey, hi, hello! I’m writing this from my new home (at my moms!). As I’ve been saying over and over, Tommy and I moved out of our first apartment (cue all of the crying emoji’s) yesterday. We are living with my mom for a few months and then moving in to the apartment above her house in July. These next two months will be an adjustment for sure, but I am trying to be positive about it anyways.

I’m sure nobody would notice if I didn’t mention this, but I mentioned in my last post about writing a book review on No Fear by Tony Perkins (affiliate link) today, but when I said that I had forgotten that today is the first of the month! And that means that I need to recap my goals and make new ones for May. So I will be reviewing the book on Wednesday instead. Let’s recap last months goals shall we?

    April Goals Recap

    • Have the best time in Florida with family
    • Start hosting the online book club
    • Pack up all of our things well
    • Move out! 🙁
    • Make 2 more Etsy products
    • Meal plan through the craziness of packing

    (1) Our Florida vacation was so much more fun than I really thought it was going to be honestly. We had so much family time and got to explore so much. (2) Our Bible Study is starting Wednesday and I am so excited! Don’t forget to link up with us next Wednesday (the 10th) about what you’ve been learning through the first week. (3) I am actually really proud of myself for packing everything the way I did. I did a little each day and it wasn’t overwhelming at all, which was awesome. (4) I wasn’t able to make two more products, but I did work a lot on two of them! I am getting there!

    May Goals

    • Celebrate Branden + Sarah’s wedding!
    • Meal plan well this month
    • Continue drinking plenty of water
    • Be active with Tommy
    • Spend more time in God’s Word
    • Read every night before bed
    • Celebrate our ONE year anniversary!

This month should be a ton of fun. I’m so excited to go to my cousin’s wedding and to celebrate our one year anniversary. I’m hoping the rest of the month will serve as a kind of reset and we will end the month feeling healthy.

    Monthly Goals: April

    March Goals Recap

    • Consistently blog Monday-Friday
    • Read 2 books
    • Plan Florida vacation
    • Finish crocheting another blanket
    • Write 4 Lifetree posts
    • Write post for Young Wives Club
    • Workout 2-3x’s per week
    • Spend more time outside
    • Pray for Tommy every day

Well you guys, as you can see I did TERRIBLE at my March goals, haha. I honestly kind of forgot about all of them besides the working out one. I did end up working out 2-3x’s for half of the month and then we always just slack off at the end of the month. It’s so strange. Also, we ended up not being able to spend more time outside because it got cold again (and even snowed!) so that wasn’t even a realistic goal.

    April Goals

This month we are traveling to Florida to visit my grandparents so that should be super exciting. Also, we are moving out this month!!! (Insert all the crying emojis here!) I am heartbroken over this just because this was our first apartment we ever lived together in. But oh well, I will make the best of it. Onto my April goals! Let’s see if I can actually remember them throughout the month. 😉

    • Have the best time in Florida with family
    • Start hosting the online book club
    • Pack up all of our things well
    • Move out! 🙁
    • Make 2 more Etsy products
    • Meal plan through the craziness of packing

    Monthly Goals: March

February turned out to be a month that was different from what I had originally planned. I don’t think I really did many of my goals at all, but I am kind of okay with it because I learned a lot about myself this month. I learned how to more efficiently work from home, and feel good about doing it, which I struggled a lot with through-out the whole month. The reason why I really didn’t focus on my goals though was because I spent a large majority of my time working on starting an Etsy shop. I think I’m still a few months away from actually doing this, but I learned so much about it and also about blogging this month too. So enough of my excuses, let’s see just how bad I did with these goals. 😉

    February Goals Recap

    • Celebrate our first married Valentines Day! I included what we did in this post if you’re interested.
    • Read two books. Nope. Not even one. 🙁
    • Clean out the pantry. This I did right in the beginning of the month and it has made my cooking experience so much better, haha!
    • Clean out our drawers. I’m loving how the organizing projects just keep getting checked off the list. This makes me feel so much better.
    • Finish crocheting the blanket I’m working on. YES. (PS. This may or may not have to do with my Etsy shop) 😉
    • Consistently blog Monday-Friday. Still going strong! 🙂
    • Pray for Tommy every day. I really want to cheat and check this off but it just did not happen. I prayed for him more than I did before, but just not every day so I will keep trying until that happens.
    • Create a cleaning schedule. I also did not do this one, I’m still debating what’s the best way to do it to be honest.
    • Create a blogging schedule for the month.
    • Workout 2-3x’s per month. LOL. I can never get this one down. We did start doing yoga this month though and I really love it, so I’m feeling hopeful for next month maybe!
    • Get used to waking up at 7 am. Nope. It’s more like 8-9 but I’ve been okay with it. I think I’ll keep trying until I get it to 7 though.

I didn’t do quite as bad as I thought I did! I just can never get down the reading or working out goals that I want to. I guess I will keep trying though!

    March Goals

    • Consistently blog Monday-Friday
    • Read 2 books
    • Plan Florida vacation
    • Finish crocheting another blanket
    • Write 4 Lifetree posts
    • Write post for Young Wives Club
    • Workout 2-3x’s per week
    • Spend more time outside

I guess we’ll see how this month goes! I’m excited that the weather’s getting warmer and hopefully that will create a lot more inspiration for my goals, especially the working out one.

    Monthly Goals: February

January was a really great month. It had its ups and downs just like any other month, but overall it was really nice. The weather wasn’t anywhere near as cold as January usually is, which I think helped my mood out a lot. I can say going into February though that I feel like I have finally transitioned over into being used to “working from home”. It was a little bit of a bumpy ride trying to find a nice groove again, but I feel really encouraged and happy with where I’m currently at. So let’s take a look at how I did on my January goals, shall we? 🙂

    • Workout 2-3x per week – Nope, but I will keep adding this to my goals until it happens!
    • Read two books I’m kind of cheating on this one, but I am ALMOST finished with the two books, and I definitely carved out way more time to read this month than I normally do so I’m counting that as a win!
    • Spend time with God every day I need to work on staying on track on the weekends, but I’m pretty proud of myself overall. I just finished the book of Isaiah today.
    • Complete the Wife After God Devotional While I still do have a few days left, I spent almost every day in January going through this study and it’s been awesome.
    • Clean out the bedroom closet YES. I finally had the time to get to this and it has made all the difference. I talked about it in this post if you’re interested.
    • Journal more Having more time in the mornings has definitely helped me with this one.
    • Blog at least 2-3x a week Yay, I’m super happy to say that since I announced that I am blogging full-time, I have stuck to posting Monday-Friday!
    • Celebrate mine and Tommy’s birthday See post here.
    • Take more baths

Not too bad! I will admit that I stretched a few of those to say that they were actually completed but I am really learning to give myself some grace lately and realize that not everything is going to be perfect. I’m learning to be okay with that!

    February Goals

    • Celebrate our first married Valentines Day!
    • Read two books
    • Clean out the pantry
    • Clean out our drawers
    • Finish crocheting the blanket I’m working on
    • Consistently blog Monday-Friday
    • Pray for Tommy every day
    • Create a cleaning schedule
    • Create a blogging schedule for the month
    • Workout 2-3x’s per month
    • Get used to waking up at 7 am

I’m feeling hopeful this month. I’m a little worried about the working out goal but I really need to get into a habit of working out so there it is. Maybe this will be the lucky month that I actually stick to it. 😉 I need all of your helpful workout tips! I’m linking up with Autumn for #MonthlyGold. Come join us!
